Since 1972, Riverdale High School has provided quality education for students in Rutherford County. With recent expansions, Riverdale can now accomadate over 2300 students.

Riverdale has strong academic, vocational, and athletic programs. Students from the school have been named as Finalist in the National Merit Scholarship competitions. The Riverdale athletic teams have been ranked first in Tennessee and the football team has been nationally rank, including winning 5A State Championships in 1994, 1997, 2001, and 2004.
